Hezbollah clashes with soldiers near Haddatha as Israel strikes on south persist

The Israeli army struck overnight into Wednesday several southern towns and villages including Jebshit, Habboush, Kherbet Selem, Kafra, and Toura, as Hezbollah reported clashes with Israeli troops in southern Lebanon despite a truce.

Hezbollah said its fighters "clashed.. with a force of the Israeli enemy army that tried to advance towards the vicinity of the town square of Haddatha," and targeted soldiers and equipment in the border towns of Bayyada and Rshaf.

An Israeli soldier "fell in combat" in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, the Israeli military said, bringing to 21 the number killed since the start of the war.

Israeli strikes on south Lebanon Tuesday killed 19 people, four of them in Nabatieh. A separate strike on Kfarsir killed five, including a woman.

An Israeli strike on the town of Deir Qanun al-Nahr in the Tyre district killed at least 10 people including three women and three children. Three others were wounded, including a child.
