Report: Lebanon warned of 'hefty price' if Hezbollah attacks Israel

Washington has relayed to Lebanon a “firm, strongly worded and dangerous” message saying that there will be a “hefty price” to pay if Hezbollah attacks Israel in the event of a new U.S. war on Iran, the Nidaa al-Watan newspaper said.

According to the message, launching any missile or drone toward Israel would unleash hell on Hezbollah and Lebanon, and the consequences would not be confined to the South or the area north of the Litani River.

“At that point, (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu would not respond to (U.S. President Donald) Trump, nor would Trump respond to the Lebanese state to secure a ceasefire, because the decision would have already been made to crush Hezbollah and its allies with American cover,” the message reportedly said.

“Washington warned the Lebanese government that Netanyahu is waiting for such an opportunity, provided by Hezbollah, to initiate war, as he is not actually convinced of this entire course of action,” the daily reported.

“Consequently, this message also reached Hezbollah through the Lebanese state and Speaker Nabih Berri, and the party is now aware of it,” it said.

Hezbollah does not care about warnings or about consequences on Lebanon and its people. After Hamas's October 7 operation Tawafan al-Aqsa, most Lebanese and the government begged Hezbollah not to drag Lebanon into that war. They did not listen and they attacked Israel. As a consequence, thousands of Lebanese were killed, Hezbollah's leaders were wiped off the face of the earth and the Israelis invaded and occupied parts south of Lebanon. To excuse their failures, Naim Qassem came up with “the Israelis are more technologically advanced“.
But after the Israeli and American attacked Ian, Hezbollah again attacked Israel, even though they'd promised Berri and Aoun that they won't. Hezbollah is on a holy suicide mission to please its Iranian masters and are taking us all, along for the ride.

Naim Qassem came up with “the Israelis are more technologically advanced“. In other words, they are more intelligent. I believe this advantage can be eliminated once Hezbollah stop playing silly war games they are bound to lose, hand over their weapons, stop brainwashing their people and allow freedom and peace to prevail. We Lebanese obviously have a great potential, but as long as Hezbollah get it their way in Lebanon, that potential will continue to be realized elsewhere.
