Aoun urges Lebanese to show resilience, firmness and unity
President Joseph Aoun noted Monday that the Prophet’s Birthday holiday comes this year “as Lebanon faces grave challenges, from repeated Israeli attacks against its sovereignty, land and sons in the South and the various regions, to economic and living crises that are still burdening its citizens.”
“Accordingly, I call on the Lebanese to draw inspiration from the Prophet's lessons of resilience, firmness and unity in the face of the aggression and attacks that are targeting our country, and in the journey of rebuilding a strong and just state, capable of protecting all its citizens without discrimination,” Aoun urged.
“National unity is our strongest shield against all challenges,” he emphasized.

"Resilience" is nothing like "Resistance", for it is the future-focus that harnesses optimism to productive improvements in one's circumstances. "Resistance" is nothing more than servitude to the unfulfilled wishes someone else has and that cannot be achieved or even advanced by the individual resistor.
President Aoun calls on all Lebanese to make a better future in the fashion of a healthy and sustainable Republic.
