A Hezbollah delegation has visited the Justice Palace in Beirut to discuss the case of the Dahr al-Baidar explosives with State Prosecutor Judge Ahmad Rami al-Hajj, MTV reported.

The delegation comprised the head of the Coordination and Liaison Unit Hussein al-Abdallah, MP Hussein al-Hajj Hassan and the lawyer Hussein Hammoud.

“The delegation informed Judge al-Hajj of the Hezbollah leadership's position that these explosives belong to the party for resistance against Israel, and that any conviction would be tantamount to cutting off the hand of the resistance at a time when Israeli bulldozing operations and attacks are ongoing," the TV network added.

Abdallah’s predecessor, Wafiq Safa, had been accused in the past of visiting the Justice Palace in an attempt to pressure Beirut port blast investigator Judge Tarek Bitar.
