Airport Security Thwarts Attempt to Smuggle 8 Kg of Heroin to Belgium
The airport security thwarted on Saturday an attempt by a Lebanese passenger to smuggle drugs to Belgium, the National News Agency reported.
The NNA said that the 46-year-old man, who was identified by his initials as A. Z., was trying to smuggle 8 kilograms of heroin.
The drugs were hidden in a double-bottomed suitcase.
The suspect was arrested and referred to the counter-narcotics bureau for further investigations.
Not bad. Lebanese customs are carefully screening the luggage when the merchandise doesn't belong to Shia operatives. That's a start... maybe one day we'll all have the same rights and privileges.
They should have never done that. That money is needed in Lebanon. The poor guy could have got half a million wholesale for you. How do I know? I was his buyer. I guess I have to call Nisrallah again and apologize for our last misunderstanding.
A.Z. probably stands for Ahmad Zoaiter
Ali Zoueiter. identified!
