Hizbullah's Qaouq Assures Entering Galilee 'Still Possible'

W300

Hizbullah announced on Sunday that entering the occupied Galilee region in northern Israel is still possible, despite the current Syrian crisis and the party's involvement in it.

"Despite the Syrian crisis and despite political and media pressures, the resistance today is at the highest levels of readiness,” declared top Hizbullah official Sheikh Nabil Qaouq during an event commemorating the one-week passing of Hizbullah fighter in Syria Hasan Ali Zahreddine in the southern town of Mais al-Jabal.

He added: “Tens of thousands of Hizbullah fighters in the South are ready at any time to respond to an Israeli attack and emerge victorious from it, creating the Galilee equation that (Hizbullah chief) Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah had promised.”

Nasrallah had said in July 2012 that “all options are on the table” regarding a confrontation with Israel, adding that the resistance might one day enter the Galilee region.

Qaouq accused the March 14 alliance, particularly al-Mustaqbal Movement, of “inciting sectarian tensions to besiege the resistance,” promising not to allow "American dictations to form the cabinet in Lebanon."

"Al-Mustaqbal's slogan today is Free Syrian Army first,” he said.

"As long as March 14 is betting on the fall of the Syrian regime, the crisis in Lebanon will continue to exist and as long as it wants to stab the resistance in the back, there won't be stability in the country and the cabinet, if formed, cannot be productive.”

The Hizbullah official stressed: “They should stop their losing and conspiratorial bets.”

"American dictations are controlling their tools in Lebanon to put conditions on Hizbullah,” Qaouq considered.

“But we will not allow the U.S. to have the upper hand in the cabinet's formation.”

" as long as it wants to stab the resistance in the back, there won't be stability in the country "

funny for people claiming they are defending lebanon , how they put their "resistance" above the interests of the state...

oh! and where is your logic hezbis? you are against the opposition in syria and against hamas so do you think you represent the interests of the palestinians better than those ELECTED by the palestinians to defend them? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

How about you claim Qusair to Lebanon instead?

Why would we care about Qusayr or Galilea if the Lebanese soil is owned by the Lebanese Army?

this guy is on crack... They beat a couple thousand weaponless villagers in qusair ant think they can attack the israeli army now... Overconfidence will kill them.

Thumb saturn over 11 years

To be fair, the ones in Qusair were by far not weaponless villagers. The power, training, resources and determination they have is not contested.

What is contested is who gives them the right to those decisions, given that our entire country will suffer the repercussions for causes that are not our own?

Missing realist over 11 years

Hezb entry to qusair came with a high price tag: over 200 killed and hundreds injured of their best fighters. Qusair is a third of Sidon. This is all media hype, qusair is 30 min from baalbak, I don't understand how this is such a 'victory' , they pretty much bombed every house to be able to take a surrounded town

"Al-Mustaqbal's slogan today is Free Syrian Army first,” he said... Qaouq, I have not heard Al-Mustaqbal or any other M14 block say that they are going to war for the FSA. But I constantly hear Hizbullah state that the Resistance Axis is all that maters, they have also stated that they will fight if Iran is attacked, as they are now fighting for Assad.

You and your brethren are an extension of the Iranian guard, you are a foreign militia in Lebanon under the direct orders of the Ayatollah. The Palestinians have kicked you and the Axis to the side, so now you are in need of a new cover.

Thumb benzona over 11 years

Perhaps we could instrumentalize the Palestinians in Lebanon in order to coerce the hez Ebola into dropping their weapons? The Palestinians should be the ones fighting to free their land, not the Shiites, not the Iranians.

Thumb saturn over 11 years

Yes, I propose they all go, meet, and work it all out. In Lebanese territorial waters, about 4 km offshore.

Thumb general_puppet over 11 years

That is a great proposal, but I suggest a little further south off Lebanese waters.

Dear Mr. President;

I would like you to sit back & allow Hizthrowup to attack the Gallilee and the Israel's attack with the U.(Useless)N.(Nothingness) to support Israel's flanks. If you could muster a "coalitian" of the willing, maybe you could muster an "Army" that would protect the WHOLE border and then rid the country of the Persian invasion. You know it and the "Army" knows it. F*** the Political for now and look to the military! I'm sure the true Lebanese feel the same way! Personally, I think you have that ARMY. Beirut is the Paris of the ME. Am I wrong?

This is pure unadulterated BS spewed by a BS expert. Hezbollah is no more going to invade Israel, much less seize Israeli territory than the man in the moon. This is BS sold to the Lebanese Shia by Hezbollah to justify itself and its ugly war in Syria. It was just training, you see to sharpen the fighters for the REAL battle in Galilee. Such a stupid joke. As if Israeli infantry is on par with the FSA. Israel has the same sophistication of weapons as the FSA. And Israel would not have control of the airspace, like the FSA? Is Cowq that stupid, or does he think his audience is??

In this latest statement, I am curious, where is Hezbollah's deference to the policies of the government which not only hosts it in Lebanon, but the government in which Hezbollah is a member of the governing coalition? Did this threat to the 5th most powerful military go through the President or the Prime Minister. Was it discussed at the Defense Strategy meeting of the Dialogue called by the Speaker and President?
When Hezbollah started performing border control in Hermel, was this in coordination with the ISF? When Hezbollah decided to sent its fighters into a neighboring country to participate in its civil war, was this with the sanction of the Lebanese Government?

Thumb beiruti over 11 years

Well, we all know the answer right, its no of course. Under Hezbollah intimidation look at the state of the Lebanese Government:
The Council of Ministers is: Resigned and we have a caretaker government with a PM, Mr. Salam who cannot form a government due to objections by Hezbollah and its lapdog Aoun.
The Parliament: Is about to lapse into nonexistence as its mandate expires on June 19. There is some phony extension of its mandate that it adopted and which no other legitimate parliamentary system recognizes. No elected body can extend the terms of its own members beyond that for which they were elected. Why has it come to this? Because Nabih Berri cancelled the session when he saw that Hezbollah would lose.

Thumb beiruti over 11 years

Let us face facts. Hezbollah is an Iranian transplanted entity set on Lebanese soil by the Assad Regime at the behest of the Mullahs in Iran because he did not want them on Syrian soil.
Hezbollah has taken root in Lebanon and it has displaced legitimate self government with governance from Iran through the agency of Hassan Nasrallah. Hezbollah is not responsive to the policies of the Lebanese government, the needs of the Lebanese people or the requirements of Lebanese laws. In every way it is foreign and alien and it is running your country right under your noses, Lebanese. Why??

Thumb beiruti over 11 years

Because on May 7, 2008, when the Lebanese government tried to make independent policy decisions that Hezbollah did not want, Hezbollah went to the street with its guns and reversed government policy. Since then, the Hezbollah has seized the institutions of the government that once hosted it. Now it seems, the Lebanese people are the guests in their own home, and the guest, Hezbollah, has usurped the home from its owner.
How to cure this problem from hell??

Thumb beiruti over 11 years

There is only one way, people of Lebanon. The people of Lebanon, Sunni, Druze and Shia, Christian and Orthodox, must liquidate Hezbollah in the only way that such a cancer in the body of the Lebanese politic can be liquidated. Surgical removal. You must meet them on their terms and defeat them. If they go to the street, let them find you there. If they go to the mountains, meet them there. And then show to them the same mercy that they have shown the injured and wounded trying to get to Arsal from Qusayr. No more, no less.
