Berri: I Will Intervene in Govt. Dispute at Appropriate Time

W300

Speaker Nabih Berri announced that the AMAL Movement ministers will take “the appropriate stand that will serve the Lebanese people” regarding the various pending issues in Lebanon, reported the daily An Nahar on Wednesday.

He told the daily: “I will not intervene in the dispute, but I will wait a week or two before I make my stand.”

He had informed his visitors on Tuesday that he will “distance himself” from the ongoing dispute, reported As Safir newspaper on Wednesday.

“I have no personal problem with Prime Minister Najib Miqati. Our lack of contact is not a cause for speculation,” stressed the speaker.

The ongoing dispute in government centers on the appointment of high-ranking civil servants, as well as the electricity file, where Miqati and the Free Patriotic Movement are locked in a dispute over how to meet Lebanon’s energy needs.

.... but he does not distance himself from events in Bahrain does he? He visited an anti government photo exhibition in Beirut and Said the following""انتم تطالبون بإسقاط السلطة الحاكمة الظالمة، التي لا تريد الخير لشعبها الذي واجهته بالرصاص الحي وبالقتل والموت"... this in turn prompted the Bahraini authorities to summon the lebanese acting ambassador in Manama and object to what they called interference in their internal affairs! A sectarian politician heading a hateful sectarian group of militia thugs and he assumes the position of Speaker! Only in Lebanon.....

Everything is possible in Lebanon. You can also drive against the traffic on the highway.

.... you can all also attack beirut, kill innocent civilians, change governments, deal drugs, import illegal products, pelt the ISF with stones, arrest who you want, build illegally, confiscate public property, be the brother of an MP and have a manufacturing facility for narcotics, blow up opposing politicians, have saints trained in the murder of prime ministers, steal cars, kidnap people and demand ransoms, etc..... you can do all this and describe your acts as "divine", your people as "ashraf al nass", and yourself as "resistance"....! Yes, my friend: in Lebanon all is possible.....unfortunately:(
