The parliament will hold a general discussion session in April to assess the governments’ performance.

MP Marwan Hamadeh said on Wednesday, after the weekly meeting between Speaker Nabih Berri and lawmakers, that the three-day session will be held on April 11-13 or after the Easter holidays on April 18-20.

“Berri will discuss with Prime Minister (Najib Miqati) the timing of the session,” he said.

Hamadeh revealed that the session will be covered live on TV.

The assessment would be the first of its kind in the tenure of the current cabinet.

The meeting with Berri “discussed the possibility of MPs referring to the Shura Council to object some ministerial decisions and decrees taken by the cabinet,” Hamadeh said.

Just look at this shot. Our parliament looks like a menorah. No wonder it brings together the filthiest of the filthy.
