Berri: Government Formation Has Become More Complicated

Speaker Nabih Berri stated on Saturday that the government formation process has become more complicated, saying that a government will not be formed any time soon.

He told al-Jadeed television: “We reached a solution, but then we regressed.”

“If a government is not formed next week, I will call parliament to session to discuss the situation in Lebanese prisons,” he added.

“If a session were to be held, then the first prisoners we will discuss will be the case of the ministers who are imprisoned in the formation process,” Berri said.
